For wall art, the original is always the best
For the best results, always use the original image from your camera roll or computer’s photo library. Avoid screenshots, photos you’ve received by text, or images you’ve downloaded from social media - they’re usually compressed down small and will look pixelated or blurry when we print them. Most current phones capture eight megapixels or more, so your photos should be 2400 x 3500 pixels or higher.
For frame-quality printing, less editing is more
If you’re editing images before uploading to Picify, keep your adjustments minimal. Major cropping, too many filters, or over-adjusting can reduce photo quality and resolution. For vibrant, professional results, use simple tweaks like brightening or small contrast tunings, rather than big, heavy effects.
Sharing photos without losing quality
If you want to get that great frame-worthy photo off someone else’s phone at the right resolution, avoid accepting it through text/ SMS or taking it off social media – the files will be compressed and usually too small to reproduce well. Instead:
- Use AirDrop or Nearby Share for direct phone-to-phone transfers.
- Or send original images via Google Drive, iCloud, or Dropbox.
- And if emailing, choose ‘Original Size’ as the export attachment option.
With these simple steps, your memories will be ready for your walls. Picify will optimise your images for perfect prints - simply upload, select your frame or mount option, and let us do the rest.
Happy Picifying!
